On paper they sound great, up to 300 eggs a year, big enough to eat if you want but still fairly efficient feed to egg ratio. They are supposed to be calm tempered. You can use the males to make auto sexed ducklings that lay more eggs then parent stock. Whats not to like?

Right? Since I love ducks, thought it couldn't hurt to try them!

I found some Welsh thru Purely Poultry. They are listed w the Livestock Conservancy Site, so I figured their birds can't be all that bad!

I'll add them to the lone Welsh hen I still have from Holderreads & have my bases covered!

Now to find wild type Muscovy to add to my small flock...
