Now I need to know which one to get?? I want a turner and everything included. What do I ask/get ????

I like my Hova-Bator 1588. It has an electronic pre-set thermostat and a fan. I got mine plus a turner for like 140 from Cutlers supply. I also have a 1590 which is the older version. I like the big window....it's really easy to see into.

I just talked to dh and I think I might really get one for Christmas! OMG, that would be wonderful! Now, Katy, which one has the big window? Do you purchase the turner separately? Do I need to buy anything else???

The Hova-bator 1588 has a big window. Cutler supply is where I got mine...and the turner. You can get the two together for 140 plus shipping. You can order it online from them. Just the incubator is 109

Ozark Hen,

Katy recommended Cutler's Supply to me as a mail order source for the Hovabator 1588 with the egg turner. I did order it from them. The 1588 incubator with the chicken egg turner (1611) was right at $140 plus shipping. Shipping for me was another $12.62 for UPS ground. I am very please with this incubator. The day it arrived, I just inserted the egg turner, added water for humidity and plugged in the power cord and it was off and running and holding at 99.9 within about 30 minutes or less. I set 15 eggs in it this morning and it was still at 99.9 when I got home from work.

The auto turner with the 1588 is wonderful, but I'm watching it carefully to make sure it keeps going. The motor on the new turner that I bought with my Little Giant incubator overheated and quit turning within the first day. I've been turning the eggs in the Little Giant by hand the last several weeks.

I don't see how anybody could mess up with the 1588. It even has an option to slightly increase or decrease the thermostat presetting by flipping some little dip switches. The directions say to not change the presets unless you have early or late hatches.
