Today I picked up my second group of day-old chicks from Meyer, 3 Dominiques and one Buff Brahma . OMG the BB looks like a little butterball and is already holding her own against the week-olds (2 Jersey Giants and 1 Columbian Wyandotte). Everyone said they should be able to go together no problem, and so far it seems to be working out. I briefly separated the week-olds so the day-olds could get a good drink and get their bearings. When I let the week-olds in, the BB immediately let them know she wasn't taking any guff from any of them. One would come up to her and she'd stand real tall and peck them! So far that's been about it though. I'll try to post pics later
