Ms. Sammich has a big ouchie! I’m not sure what to do. It keeps growing bigger and bigger. Help!

It has been a week. She had a leg band that grew into her skin.

Hmm, there might be an infection on her leg, it needs to be removed like a black head on a zit.

Have you been treating it as suggested in your other thread?
The location of the injury almost looks like where her spur bud would be as well, so I would continue to care for it as suggested below.

I would soak her legs in warm Epsom salts or chlorhexidene or betadine in the water for the infection. Repeat once or twice daily. Could you get a better picture of her footpad? It looks like there may be some necrotic (dead) tissue. If so, that may slough off or part of the limb could die. Do not use peroxide any more. It can damage the tissue with repeated use.

I have done what the other post suggested. I’m still soaking daily in Epsom salts.

O.k. Is she picking at it?
Then after you soak it, dry well. Apply just a very thin layer of triple antibiotic ointment, put a tiny square of non stick pad on the wound, then wrap the wound with coban/vet wrap.
Leave the wrapping on for 2 days, no soaking. DO check the wrap daily to make sure it's in place and that it's not too tight.
After the 2 days, unwrap, get some photos.
