More peachicks than we know what to do with!

My friend has a bunch of peacocks. They lay eggs all over the pen but never set. So this year he tossed them all in incubators and 9 hatched.

So, now what?? He can expand his pens, but he already has 6 adults and that seems like a lot of birds...

Any advice on selling peacocks?

Can they be sold young, or best to wait to a certain age?

How do we sex them?

How much do peachicks go for?

Any other advice?

So to get things straight, you do not have peafowl? Six birds is a small number compared to some peafowl breeders that easily have over a 100 birds (not me!). If the peachicks are a different color than the parents, and the owner likes that color, then go ahead and add a new pen. You can list peafowl for sale on here, but it does seem like Craigslist is great for selling peafowl. Peafowl can be sold at any age, but I prefer waiting until they can be identified and sexed. If you post pictures of the peachicks, then that would help with sexing the peachicks. While you are posting pictures you might as well show us pictures of the adults! Pricing depends on a few factors: the color, age, sometimes sex, and the supply/demand. I hope this helps a bit...
