but I am already testing my mom I have 40 eggs in the bator and I have 3 roosters 9 hens and 8 chicks ha ha. Hope your hatching goes well can't wait to see more pictures of those beauties.

Oh gosh yes, I have been preparing for this storm yesterday and today.

For the Peas, about the only thing I can do is make sure that they have lots of food where they can get it. I give extra corn for the cold, and 20% chicken feed for the nutrition.

They will NOT go inside, except once in a while if they think I am not looking to snitch chicken food.

Then they don't stay unless I slam the door.

They will, instead, no matter what the weather is doing, go ahead and roost on the tops of the tall pine trees. I wish they would go inside, but they do not ever seem to come to any harm.

I am so afraid we will lose electricity and I will be faced with trying to save an incubator just full of precious eggs. I am prepared as much as I can be, though.

peachick do u have any more of those wonderful pics? dont leave us hangin! lol.

lol all the pics are on that flickr link I posted.

Today the snow storm dumped 2-3 feet of snow here in maryland.... a new state record!!
Most of my bird pens are destroyed... its like they all got stepped on. The weight was just too much and they all colapsed. (and I was just bragging about that netting too)
at 7am this morning i was literally digging birds out of the snow that got buried when the netting caved in on them. I THINK everyone survived... although some escaped. I doubt the ringnecks will return. and one green peahen is still in a tree.
Its a disaster out there!!
