I've got 2 Buffs, they're pretty mellow as chickens go. They make good moms, too. One of mine went broody last summer and raised some little peepers..

That's a really beautiful picture you have of your buff. Adorable! My buff is so mellow and loves to be picked up. Very trusting bird.
