More progress and the pen has been started

Primer is on...nest boxes not done yet as they will get a layer of insulation then another layer of plywood.


The run has begun


Approx size of the run will be 8x20 for 8 RIRs


Got alot done yesterday before the rain came




Had helpers (nephews and grandson) with painting. Paint was extra we had...not real pretty, but the trim will "spice" it up.




Some of the girls wanted to keep tabs on the progress, so I made them a temp "screen door" so they could watch.


They are really keeping an eye on "Dads" construction progress.

Insulation on the nest boxes.....hm, I'll have to pass that idea along to our "architect."
