Also, anyone out there that lives in the city of Joliet, Illinois? Just found out that they do not allow chickens, but every town around us does allow them. Any insights or updates if anything is pending to change this ordinance? How strict is the city as far as penalties?
Anyone?

I would try petitioning with some local people around you to change the laws. Many towns are now changing laws to allow a small number of female laying birds, though many don't allow roosters as their crowing can disturb neighbors.

I hope this helps. Best of luck!

Hello chicken friends, I'm wondering if anyone knows what type of chickens these 3 cuties are? And, roosters or hens? Thank you

Only one picture showed up, but it shows a Light Brahma. How old is it? If its older then 14 weeks it could be a pullet, but younger it is probably a roo.

Its very nice looking!
