More than one egg, same hen.

Hi all, I have five hens: 2 BO, 2 EE and one OE. All of the hens are now almost a year old and have been laying for several months. One of the Easter Eggers lays blue and the other lays pink. For the last week or so, I’ve been getting two blue eggs almost every day. I’ve read that this can happen but it is rare and would not expect it to happen every day. Should I be concerned? The only other possible explanation would be that the “pink” egg is from the buff orp and perhaps the second EE started laying late?! It just seems kind of crazy and could use some advice please….

Very possible that the pink is from the orp. You can put food coloring on the girls vents if you want, don't use red.

I agree the pink is most likely your Orpington and your other EE just started laying.

I’ve had a buff orp lay two shell less eggs that were attached
