More than one roo; is it possible?

I have three roos (BO, RIR, and a barred rock) with 11 hens. I just like having the different breeds, and I'm hoping one of my hens will go broody, but I may have to get a couple of silkies, which is fine, I like silkies. But the roosters get along with each other fine. They are only 8 months old and they were all raised together, so I imagine that make it easier for them.

Thank You!!!! I am hoping you are correct. They all seem to get along. The silkies just can't do what the others can (flight problem). The little SS male is tops and so nice to everyone, including me. I will keep hoping that they all can get along. They really do have plenty of room and plenty of attention as my father (91 year old) watches them for hours on end.

You think you have alot of roos I have 9 roos with 10 hens !!! I am going to have to get more hens and less roos! The state man came out today and I have them all tested (its the law here in Ma). SO I am sure I will have my problems but right now they are ok. The roos are almost 5 months old and so far so good no fights!

Take Care

I have 8 roosters and, lessee... 23 hens. (I hope I have that right!)

They're not all from the same bunch; they're from three different batches, although I took plenty of time to introduce them. Right now, I'm not having any trouble with them, and the hens don't seem to be, either. However, I have a lot of room for birdies to hide if they need to.

It never hurts to try. Personally, I won't kill them just because they're roosters. I'll cull a rooster from my flock if he starts to hurt the other birds, though.
