more than potholders? loom weaving q's

ok So my dd likes to use those weaving things with the loops and plastic square. So we got her one today. I am curious though, what can you make besides potholders (for decoritive use only apparently) Where do i find some kind of patterns? she gives up on things REALly easy and honestly i cant see her weaving on this thing more than once unless we can figure something out here. please help!!

She can make the potholder squares into placemats by whipstitching 6 together... The potholders are good trivets, by the way. We used to have a busload of them, when our kids were younger...

thank you. right now we have figured out, placemats, tableclothes, doll blankets and Pillows, so maybe i can keep her busy for a little while, then we will try using it with regular yarn vs loops, ? THEN maybe we can use the straight knifty knitter patterns? We will see!

Hope your loops are cotton ones and not poly...poly will melt.

You can make pocketbooks too. i've haven't made any but have seen pics on front of a box once.

Hope she has fun...I remember making these when i was a lot younger...
