Last night I brought home 4 beautiful Moscovy's. Let me tell you, for those that are thinking about getting them but think that they are ugly, the pictures do them no justice. The three black ones have a beautiful green and purple sheen to them and I had to get a brown one they are just beautiful. I will post pics when I can.

I have Muscovies too and love them! I just got a few more hens yesterday in trade for some other stock. They are easy keepers and pretty independent little birds. Have fun with them!

The facial markings on mine arn't too bad not quite as ugly as the pictures I have seen but he is big and has awsome colour. They are just under a year and should start laying soon. I was surprised at how big they are.

I used to think they were ugly, but once I got to know them and their sweet personalities, I don't think they're ugly anymore. Plus, like you said, they have gorgeous feathers! And, even the carnuncles aren't that bad on some of them, too.

I love my Muscovies and find it really nit-picky when people call them ugly.
The same people won't say a thing about turkeys fleshy appendages and
even some chickens have big ol' floppy combs and wattles. So whats the diff?
Muscovies many virtues far out weigh their unique appearance.
See my website for Muscovy information & photos.
