Mosquitoes

Mosquitoes are squeezing through small open areas in my coop and bothering my chickens. I have made a repellent with garlic, so my question is would it hurt the chickens if I hung it inside the coop above them? Is it okay for them to breathe in raw garlic all night long? The mosquitoes hate the garlic. Thanks everyone!

It’ll be fine. I use concentrated garlic on my entire yard to keep them at bay and my flock has been fine. I did the inside and outside of their coop with it also.

I have never personally had my chickens be bothered with mosquitos. Are they getting regular dust bathes? Do they free range?

I don't see any reason why the garlic would hurt them!

Not sure where you are and if you still have nice weather, but mosquitoes hate lavender and geraniums. You could plant them in pots around the run.
