Hi all!
I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with mosquitos biting your chikens? I feel like this is a dumb question because I cant find any info on the subject. I ask because every time I go out to work on my chiken coop I get bit so bad I have to use bug spray. I am bringing 4 hens home soon and I dont want to put them in a coop that there going to be miserable.

Mosquitoes are weak fliers, in the case that they are extremely overrun in your coop you can place an old box fan in your coop at night to blow on your roosts, your chickens won't mind and the mosquitoes won't be able to fly in the breeze. If you are only seeing a moderate amount of them I wouldn't do anything. Most of the time I see mine snapping them right out of the air.
