Moss out granules and chickens?

Two weeks ago we put moss out granules in our yard and then added grass seed and peat moss. This was before I knew we were going to inherit our neighbor's chickens. Current plan is to get them tomorrow and have them live in a tractor/coop and also free range in our backyard. We have gotten a couple inches of rain since I put the moss out down. Is this safe for the birds we are about to get?

As soon as you get rain, it is safe. So yes it will be fine
