Most accurate thermometer??? All mine are different.

Freaking out! I set on thurs and all my thermometers and hygrometers are reading differently. About to calibrate the hygrometer that’s in there so that’ll help. But what’s the most accurate thermometer? All of mine are way different. Should I buy a Brinsea spot check??

Go to your local pharmacy and purchase one of these. Place it next to the probe where your electronic thermometer is. These will allow you to evaluate the the readings you are seeing.

Yes, testing against a human medical thermometer is the best way to go.

It's probably alcohol or other chemical...very likely not mercury.
I still have a mercury therm, no good laying on it's side.

I just hatched with a 60% hatch rate. I started checking my temp and humidity and had the same problem 6 thermometers and six different readings. I found a meat thermometer at walgreens and tested it against a human thermometer using water at 99.8 degs. It is one degree off. It will fit in the holes in the bottom of my hovabator nicely.
