I thought I'd post my contribution to the prettiest hen thread. Not really sure as to her breeding other than the hen she's from was an Ancona. What I think makes her exceptionally beautiful is that she was given to me. Another BYC member had owned her and I complimented her on how beautiful I thought this bird was. I loved her colors, particularily the way the feathers her grey body were laced with the same reddish gold of her cape. A couple of weeks later when Yaklady came to visit me she brought this hen and insisted that I take it. How much prettier could a bird be than one that is given with kindness.
