You will note in my post that I said that sex links are the ultimate in brown egg layers. Leghorns lay white eggs. Which is the better layer, Leghorns or sex links depends on the strain and the circumstances under which these hens are kept. In ideal circumstances (warm temperatures and good lighting), the White Leghorn strains that are used by laying houses for white eggs are unmatched. The laying record, set in 1979, is held by a caged White Leghorn with 371 eggs in 364 days (http://cafnr.missouri.edu/about/chicken.php). However in less than ideal circumstances such as very cold winter temperatures and short daylight hours, Black and Red Sex Links, which lay brown eggs will actually outlay them.

She has cerebellar hypoplasia (the balance center of her brain didn't form right), so I can't really get mad at her for being really bad at cuddling.
