most unfavorite thing about geldings

Uggh, my old stud LOVED to have his cleaned. Nothing more embarrassing than being half way through a cleaning and giving a 'happy ending'... It's just not right.

My husband and I are getting 2 geldings at the beginning of May. They are picked out and paid for. I'm soooo not looking forward to this part.

Well,I just swallowed my "baccer"! (chewing tobacco) And the crazy thing ''I don't even chew".

I was around geldings like forever.I grew up riding one.My uncle had geldings. The farm I loved to go to had geldings. But never in my life have I heard of "beans"and "corn flakes" except the eating kind.

I always thought the geldings had a "flaky"look when relaxed but I did not know until now that you were supposed to clean them.

R.I.P. to all the geldings connected to me that never got cleaned. I'm sorry I never knew.poor guys.

Yeah I am with you RRAN-- My family has had horses for generations, I had one gelding. I never heard of sheath cleaning until this thread either, except in when talking about a breeding stallion. And even with a stud I never heard talk of flakes or beans.

I sing this to my gelding while I am arm pit deep in his belly fishing around for his worm.
