Most wanted chick piping.........**PIX Added 10/1/11****

I have some Serama's and d'uccles in the incubator due tomorrow but I have 1 pip the chick I have wanted for awhile a black mottled d'uccle!!!!!!!

I will be running to the incubator every five min. to check on the progress and look for more pips......

I JUST checked under my lil broody and she has hatched 1 I think it's a BSL pullet with a White laced polish rooster cross, it's sure cute!!!

I have had the most intresting hatch both in the incubator and under my broody.

From the brooder I have 1 blue mottled & 1 black mottled d'uccle. I thought Serma eggs hatched on days 18-19 we are on day 20 and nothing yet. I checked a couple eggs and there are chicks in there moving. I'll hope for more progress tomorrow. I might have made a mistake thinking that they hatched early as i put the d'uccle eggs in and 3 days later put in the serama eggs thinking they would hatch on the same day.

From under my broody she hatched one little cross chick then abandoned her eggs I waited a day and went to pick up the eggs and there was a silver penciled bantam stuck in mid hatch the membrane dried so I helped it out and it is ok. I then candled the rest of her eggs and two moved so I placed them in the incubator one just hatched it is another BSL polish cross and the other is still in there with the serama eggs. that one is a silver pencil bantam also.

That's 5 little odd chicks ot of 30 some eggs, we will see if any of the other eggs hatch tomorrow.............................I'm still hoping for some seramas

OMG, I Love, Love, LOVE the Black Mottled/Blue Mottled/ and White D'uccles!

I have Seramas, and they are "BIG Chicken, in a Little Body!!"

doing the serama dance!!! I have day 21 pip from the remaining serma eggs of my hatch, hopefully I will get more than 1.... "doin the serama dance"

I am on day 21 for 5 eggs and day 20 for another dozen and so far I have seen nothing... is this a bad sign?

I have have een eggs hatch at 18-22 days so far. Maybe it's the way I count the days I don't know. Don't give up hope I almost did when the other hatched friday and these didn't.

I just noticed 1 more pip

Do you know around what time you put them in the incubator?
