Hi. I have a 6 week old silver laced wyandotte, that doesn't seem to have much silver. She also has black legs, which I haven't seen any pictures of SLWs with. Could she be a Black Austrolorp, or is she just a very dark SLW? Will she lighten up as she gets older? Any information or opinions would be greatly appreciated. And in case you're wondering, I think she's beautiful either way, I'm just curious. Thanks.

Liz

Thanks, I'm trying, but it keeps coming out small.

Thank you, that's what I was thinking, but I was kinda hoping for the Wy. So, I should expect her face to turn all black, right?

Yes. Aussies start out with quite a lot of white, but by the time they start laying they are a beautiful beetle-green black with scarlet combs and wattles. Really pretty. She'll be an excellent layer for you too!
