Just opened a bag of feed and the top had quite a few white worms and webs. Is it safe to go ahead and use it since chicken would eat the worms anyway?

That's an indicator the feed is old or improperly stored.
If just bought I would return. If you bought some time ago, I would toss it out.

Check mill date when purchasing feed. Two months old or fresher is best.

I store feed in my house and buy smaller 25 lb bags when I have less than 4 chickens.

If you store feed outside it can spoil within a month in hot humid or damp conditions. GC

Agree about the mill date; check every bag before buying it! I want feed within one month of the mill date, and use it up within another month. Mine is stored in it's original bag in metal garbage cans in the coop, raised up off the floor a bit.
Old feed is not good eats!

Ewwww... I hadn’t thought about the old food possibility. Scratch my previous comment — the worms might be tasty for them, but the old feed probably wouldn’t.
