I'm agreeing that your little coop is wonderful... very nice job! I love the green color.

I'm also agreeing that 16 appears to be way to many for the new coop/run. You should have at least 4 sq. feet per chicken of inside floor space and generally 10 sq. feet of outside space per chicken. (That, of course depends on if they free range the majority of the time.)

I can't wait!

Thanks for the tips on how many chickens you all think can fit in the new coop. As you can tell by my most recent goof (building a coop that doesn't fit any way but over a nearly 6 foot fence!), I often get an idea about something and just go for it without doing all the research.

What I really need is the specific measurements for the coop and run. I'll be out there tonight, and with any luck, will have time to measure a bit before it gets full dark out. I'll keep you all posted.
