Mother Friend Chickens

My mom shared many videos of her friend chickens. My mom knows I loved chickens. Sometime it makes me sad I am missing out that is very nostalgic of me keeping chickens when I was younger.

My mom friend lives away from my town. More county side of the town. He so rural, it a drive to see his own neighbors. No paved roads. Which deters me to come over! But with so much land, the chickens have a better life away from suburb scrutiny. They are definitely protected by his dogs from coyotes.

I think next year I will plan on keeping a small flock of 4 or 3. I’ll take over my old coop spot of my mom garden.

I actually put the time to see my mom at her friend house. I welcome anytime to see my mom friend chickens.
He live so far out of town. No internet connection. Their power and water though on property.

One of his dogs. The female is very standoffish. So I didn’t bother her. This boy however loves affection!

His birds do not free range the property due to how many wild animals are present. Mostly due to his dogs.
I am more than ever going to start my own small flock at home next year.

Nice photos !

I wish I got some up close photos of the chickens. I particularly love his Black Sex Link hens.
I wanted to ask him what made him want silkies. Most of his choice are good egg layers.
