Mother hen left nest on hatch day??

I've had a very persistent and broody buff orpington hen that decided to sit on a clutch of eggs, out of 14 eggs for some reason only three of them turned out good but one of them developed much faster than the other two, I'm guessing the other two were laid later in that same box without me noticing. Today one of the eggs decided to start hatching and I walked out to The Coop to find her no longer broody and out and about with the other hens. I went inside and retrieved the already piped egg (I didn't grab the other two just in case but I'll go back for them later if she doesn't return to the nest) but the piped egg was a priority. She was a persistent broody and refused to leave the box to even eat or drink, I would take her out and she wouldn't move from that spot at all even when the roosters mounted her or when I put food right in front of her so I just fed and watered her in the box. I don't understand why she stopped brooding???


Is there any way I can get her back on her eggs?

I ended up giving her back the chick cuz she went back to the nest but she just ended up killing it, eating it, and tearing open the other two eggs to eat them :/

Never going to let her go broody again
