I’m on day 16 of putting my broody hen on some fertile eggs I purchased I let her off for a drink and a feed and a quick diet bath every day or so we are nearing end of spring so not cold around 86°f I’ve never candled so just used my phone with a play dough ring around the light and sat them on top. Two looked clear the rest dark with about a 1/3 clear I presume air sac. Since candling two nights ago she kicked the two blue eggs out and I put them back under her. Today she has scattered her nest material everywhere and the eggs were scattered too they’re fine but first time doing this I’m just not sure what to do. I’ve boxed her in tight so she can’t move again maybe I was giving her too much room to move. Is it worth getting one of this small very bright flashlights and see if I can sight veining?

Why are the eggs so dirty? Usually when the hen kicks an egg out she knows it's not viable or alive.

The eggs are so dirty on top of that being colored eggs, it would make it almost impossible to see inside even with a super bright flashlight.

Yes I have no idea I presume she’s pooping in them should I wipe them over

Yes I will just leave her confined with them and hope for the best

How often should I be letting her out to eat and drink and what’s the most anoint of time you’d have her away from them. Or do you have food and water for her within her reach?
