Hi everyone

I Was wondering:

Should i let the mother hen rest without eggs, after all curent eggs are hatched ?

or should i keep puting batches of eggs under her for incubation?

i think if i keep putting eggs under her she will stay there forever.. and it doesnt seem so good for her health

i know, horrible usage of the english grammar, but i do the best i can

:P

waiting for answers.. :D

WELCOME TO BYC!!

You should let her rest. During the incubation process, energy, weight and even nutrients are drained from a hen's body. Don't give her any other eggs until she is plump and healthy again.

I have a duck whose egg's were bad and I pulled them out over a month ago but she is still sitting on an empty nest well alright she did find a golf ball to put in the nest that she stole from a chicken nest ......

Thanks

nice to meet you all it is not the first time thow that i look in your comunity for answers

Very Very good site

anyways

one of the mother hens is stupid and keeps stepping on her children (lost one)

the other doesn't want to stand up, so....

if se keep sitting am gonna put eggs under her

e.g. i was feeding them while they were hatching, so they are fater than ever :D

see you around mates
