Mother Hen sitting in unsafe place

I love this message board. I am new memeber. Here is my first question to you all.

I have a Hen who went broody and sat in an old rabbit cage outside of the main coop. The eggs are due to hatch on Monday (10/15). I am worried that predators will get the little ones when the mamma takes them out. I could close up the rabbit cage if needed.
I guess my question is-could I move mamma and chicks to a safe location two or three days after hatching?

Move her and her nest tonight to a safe place and lock her in till hatch.
