Mothers day hatch

Day 20 here.....one egg was rocking before I left for work but all 6 others were still. I think my temps were a bit low, so even though they’re due to hatch tomorrow.....I’m wondering if it might be Monday or Tuesday. Does anyone else buy more eggs to incubate before the ones inside have even hatched? Lol. I am picking some up tomorrow that will go in right after these ones are out and it’s clean! Ridiculous. At least I just do very small hatches (8-10!).

That's great. Mine hatching tomorrow are duck eggs, she started sitting on them on Easter. I can't wait to see the little babies, and I do that. I just got a new incubator though. I can now do some small hatches or a really big hatch. I have 5 in the new incubator now just to see if works well, and I'm 100% sure they are all fertilized, it's easy to tell with duck eggs.

I hope they don't fully hatch till at least 1 pm. We still haven't gotten the chicken wire to put along the chain link fence. My backyard fence is right beside the pasture where all my farm animals live and that fence is chain link. The mama duck decided to build her nest right against the fence, so now I have to put chicken wire up so the ducklings don't get through. i didn't move her because she's the most aggressive broody duck I've ever seen (it really hurts when she bites). I really don't want to take them from her because I want to see how well of a mama she is.

The dogs aren't aggressive towards the animals, but my pitbull likes small animals that squeak (kittens, chicks, ducklings, mice, and birds). We can't really break her from this as we have tried everything. The ducklings are the only ones that could go through because the chicks and turkeys are to big.
