A lavender silkie hatching! My prize egg...I read the hatch calendar wrong and thought this egg was hatching next Friday. So, I didn't even apply the lockdown rules and here is this pip and peeps! Happy day to me! woo!

Who else has new chicks today and tonight?

I've had three mixed chicks hatch so far. They're already in a temporary brooder. In the incubator there's five more mixed chick eggs, four of which are pipped externally and at least one thinking it's time to zip. One more mixed chick hasn't pipped yet.
I've also got eight Jersey Giant eggs in the incubator. One of those eggs has an external pip and one has an internal pip.
