Moms rule! I talk to mine numerous times a day. I'm so lucky that when our son came along my parents moved across the state to be closer to their one and only grandson. Mom takes DS to school every morning, calls after school to see how his day was, has him sleep over once a month. She's my best friend aside from my husband and we have a lot of fun together. My dad has slowed down a lot in the last five years but Mom is 10 years younger and still has lots of energy. Works out great for all of us!

I no longer have my mom with me either, but I do think of her almost everyday. Like you, I'm over the big 5 0, and if she were here, I'd have a lot more questions for her.
