The motor failed on my old Little Gaint turner today on day two. I will not be able to have another one until tommorrow. Instead of opening the bator to turn the eggs today and tommorrow can I just elevate one side then elevate the other side? I run it almost dry so there would be no issue with water spill.

I will if I have to but, this incubator (1602) takes a long to stabilize any time I open it. My last hatch was my best hatch(but that was my 1588 it is full)and I only opened it to candle on days 7,14 and18. Since it is so early I think I will try tilting the bator, for just two days. I know, just like my wife says ,"why ask for advise if you already have your mind set".

This happened to my son also. I think he paid about sixty dollars for the turner, and it is a piece of junk. I guess it is a sign of the times.

I usually have full bators and turn all by hand. Only takes but 2 minutes each bator and technically you can have that sucker open for up to 30 minutes.
