Anyone in the Maryland/Northern VA/South Central or East PA area have a Mottle Black Tom they want to get rid of. Only one of our 8 poults survived last spring and she is one sad girl right now. She keeps laying down in front of me.

Thanks!

When they lay down in front of you, it' means they "like" you and they're ready to mate. I had that exact problem with my first turkey hen, and I thought, "Gee, is she sick?" Every time I looked at her she was laying down. She made it a point to lay down every time she saw me. Shortly after I noticed this behavior, she began laying eggs. She layed them right in the nesting boxes with the chickens! (My husband made huge nesting boxes.......)

I wish I had a male for you, but I don't....Just wanted to share the experience...

Take care,
Sharon
