Mottled Javas ?

I think these are a very pretty breed, but are they all as spazzy as mine are? Of all the breeds I've got these are by far the worst. They're all 3-4 months old so they're kind of in that "teen-age" phase, but these are way worse than any others I've got that are the same age. I'd like to keep some of them, but if they don't settle down they may all go to the poutry auction.

I don't have mine yet, but I hope they aren't like that. Where did you get yours?

All but a few I hatched from eggs from Lee Penny and the others are from a girl in Texas. They're very pretty chickens so I hope they settle down.

I'd be interested in seeing how yours do Katy. That's a breed I've considered trying someday.

I hope they start settling down. They hatch out as the prettiest chicks. We'll see what happens here in the next few weeks.

I don't remember mine being spazzy. I mean they weren't lap chickens or anything. My white and mottled hens were stand-offish I guess. And the Blacks were just underfoot all the time. The white rooster and black roosters certainly weren't shy. Never had any mottled so I can't say how they would have acted.
