a mottled would be black w/ white spots instead of black and white barring. but its very cute!

I didn't really think it was "mottled" but thought it was interesting nonetheless and didn't realize that there was even a name for it until oldtimegator posted. I did google cuckoo silkie and found some interesting pics, one of which very loosely resembled "mottleing" but it was one that was created trying to perfect the cuckoo, so it wasn't really mottled either.
