How long does it usually last? Figured out why the hens stopped laying. Lots of feathers in the coop.

Seeing as how winter is upon us, it could last a while. I have heard anywhere from 2 week to 2 months. Good luck with that! Use the feathers to make Christmas ornaments. I kind wish mine would shed more, seeing as we have no money this year.

I make dreamcatchers out of my birds feather when they molt

. Their pure white feathers are beautiful in the light.
