I know that some birds moult in a big way and put on quite a show, practically running around naked at times, while others moult rather "quietly". Is this determined by the breed or just each individual bird?

I assume that its a breed thing. I have a light brahma hen running around with hardly any feathers at all right now. My other hens do no do this type of moult. A friend has light brahma's and she's wondering if her birds will be running around all pink and featherless too? I assume so, but I just wanted to make sure? Anyone know??

Mine don't completely molt, they just lose a LOT of feathers and look real scraggly. Can't wait till my main roo gets his feathers back.. he's looking pretty sad at present.
