Looks like they've been in fights & someone pulled out clumps of feathers! I have an Easter Egger named Goldilocks & her bum was almost bare up until a few days ago! Her feathers have started coming back in, thankfully, but the other day when I went to get a look at her, all I could see were white, rice-sized pieces on her bum. After crawling around the yard looking at her bum, I noticed that the white was actually the feather casing (not fly strike or anything else bad!)

I don't have a picture of her bare bum yet wanted to share that visual!

when do chickens first molt??? ive had mine since middle of march 2019 and they havent lost so much as a feather (not from molting anyway...) will they soon???
