Moulting ???

My broody hatched one egg and all is well with baby

My concern is that the hen is losing alot of feathers and was wondering if this is a normal thing thats happens afterwards ?? She seems healthy and happy otherwise.

Molting is a normal thing that happens this time of year (shorter dayss).

I am feeding her a higher protein diet anyway so hopefully all will be well ... thanks for your input

Has anyone had a hen go into the moult after chicks have hatched ??

My hen was broody on nonfertile eggs for a couple months, then she molted, laid a few more eggs and went broody again.
Two of my hens are just finishing up a molt. The other four had molted end of sept and Oct, they also molt in spring
