Start your flock on Nutrena Feather Fixer. It's wonderful for making beautiful new feathers! And your hens may even lay thru the molt.
I get mine at Tractor Supply. Used it on my previous flock on the advice of another BYCER. Wow! Great results.

In the Winter Florida also has more daylight hours each day than Wisconsin does, so figure that into your calculations.

I kinda thought it might be a by different, plus here cold snaps will cause a halt in laying as the chickens divert energy to staying warm.
