I have 14 Black sex-link chicks 4 weeks old, one of them breathes by his mouth, opens his mouth every 5 seconds and breathe, is this a dangerous thing ??? what is the reason ???
PS: Sorry about my English ..

No , of them just does that. And he doesn't eat well

my 5 month old hens all do that but they eat fine he might not be getting enough oxygen search this site for that maybe you will find something for mine its normal they are all fine its just hot and there r a lot of allergens so breathing isnt great i would be more concerned about food intake than breathing that is very normal he should every one in a while be closing his mouth tho is he okay right now?

Maybe a respiratory problem. I put my chicks initially on a mini dose of vitamins and electrolytes in their water for their first week to help to build them up some while they start eating and drinking. They were hatched on a Sunday, shipped on a Monday and received on a Wednesday. They are all doing well.

I would go to the Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures forum. You might do better asking in there.
