Our girls are just over 4 weeks and we kept them in a closet until yesterday. We've been weaning them off the heat and they seem happy but last week they were getting fiesty.
Finished making their coop secure yesterday afternoon and we moved them in.
We have 6, they seem happy and are enjoying there new space. Inside the coop is about 50-55 sq ft, the run will be at least 3x that. It was weird seeing the red light in our backyard, about 150 feet from our bedroom window. The heat lamp is very secure and very temporary as our overnight temps are rising quickly here in Indianapolis.
Poop board, nest boxes and roost bar next to add, then paint the coop. We have around $250 in materials so far. It's a free pallet coop with other material sourced from where I work that was going to be thrown away
