I have four different groups of moveable fencing with moveable coops in our field. And this summer for a variety of reasons, we didn't get them moved. This weekend the plan is to get them moved to a new location, but the field grass has tangled badly into the lower portion of the fencing (plastic poultry netting fence from Omlet).

I'm hoping someone has a suggestion for a good tool I can use to cut the grass away from the bottom of the fence without damaging it. String trimmer would definitely cut the fencing unfortunately. Sadly moving this stuff is always a huge chore, and that ends up delaying it. I love the Omlet coops.... I don't love the wheels or how hard it is to move them a significant distance.

Have you used these successfully? Is it more precise than trying to use a battery hedge trimmer?
if you want to preserve your fence.....
I have used them. Not much fun, and a great (LOL) hand workout, but you won't cut your webbing.
