Moveable sheep fencing?

Has anyone used this for their run? We will be free ranging our birds on the lawn as much as possible, but I'd love to hear anyone's experiences using this fencing method attached to their coop.

I am not familiar with it but my main concern would be the size of the holes. You will want your run to be just as secure as your coop (as in no holes big enough for critters such as snakes or opossums to get in.) If you could reinforce with chicken or rabbit wire it might work.

Like I said, i'm not familiar with movable sheep enclosures, but I hope this helps

Yeah, you'd have to cover it with something to make sure the chickens didn't go thru it (they can go thru surprisingly small openings if they want to, 4x4 would not be too much of a stretch except for like an Orp rooster or such) and by the end of all that you'd have spent a LOT of money. It would *work*, in terms of a low fence to contain any chickens who didn't feel like flying/hopping over although not to exclude any predators; but it'd probably be one of teh more expensive possible ways of doing it.

If you jsut want to contain chickens, not keep out predators, just get a roll of flexible 1-2" mesh (construction fencing, or that plastic chickewire stuff, or whatever) and affix step-in posts to it every so often (experiment to find optimal spacing for your particular fence material). You'd just roll it up to store it, it'd be easy peasy to move and to set up, and it'd cost wayyyy less and do at least as good a job.
