I seperated and moved my broody hen to a dog crate with nest box and eggs I want her to hatch tonight. It is roomy and also has a spot for water and feeder. When I checked her a while ago, she was not sitting on the eggs I had put in there, just in front of the nest box. She had been broody for at least 4 or 5 days now. I have tried to put her on those eggs, but she came right back out. Do I just need to give her more time?

Sometimes when you move a broody, that's the end. Others just love their eggs and will sit tight no matter where they are. Good luck.

Try putting her back where she was and wait until she is a little "more broody" and move her late at night. Hopefully she will keep sitting! Good luck!
