Hi guys, I'm not sure if most of you are aware, but myself and my family were having problems with the bank and us moving to our farm... well anyway, we've made it through and we're here at the farm now! Unfortunately for the next like ... 7 months we will only have dial-up because we can't get high speed as we're too high up for explorenet. Things are slow -_- .

Keep a look out as I'll be posting photos hopefully, of the farm slowly being changed from a junk heap to a lovely farm... including the building of our chicken coop which should be happening in the next month!

* Good for you!! Don't forget to plan everything for WINTER up there, even tho it's July now!! Big Time Winter!!

Ugh... I know... and we've just started pulling apart the terrible enclosed porch only to find out we're going to have to go and get some jack posts and jack up the roof on the porch, so we can replace the header, and the posts as some idiot knotched them, and the posts are resting on the floor rather than the concrete below it... terrible workmanship!

I don't think the to-do list would be as long, if the old owners hadn't mucked up the whole house, and hadn't enclosed the old porch realllyyy poorly. There is so much work to be done, and to add to it... it seems as if we have a ghost in the house as well!

started building our house 5 yrs ago and just getting the sheetrock covered this last week. Lived in the harley shed for 9mths through one of the worst winters ever
called it the shackteau, we were shed-livin. Funny now not so much then

LOL funny you should say that.. my dads friend lived in a train caboose for something like 20 years and just about 5 or 6 years ago built his log home about 20ft from the caboose!

We've bought the materials for our porch, but we're going to have a professional take a look at it, and we now have the panelling to do the panelled ceiling in the living room (to match the kitchen) as I've found the original 2x4 tongue and groove panelled ceiling, but it's in rough shape so we're going to cover it with something that a) is untouched and ready to paint, and b) doesn't have 5 billion holes in it where they put the new wiring in but neglected to fill the gigantic hole.

Ohhh plus theres all the fencing, and about 5 outbuildings to renovate.... and a chicken coop to build!

Glad you were able to get moved!! It's so much fun when there is so much to fix up

We have lived here for 8 years now and the house is 150 plus years old, it has been in hubby's family since the 1890's. We are still fixing things up around here, lol.
Ooh, some else has a ghost! We've got one too!

Woohoo! My Kendal friend! .... Yeah, lol the list will be going for like 5 or 6 years, it's huge... but the porch will be started soon, and the stick-on tile is slowly being pulled up, and the new ceiling goes up this week so it's an exciting moment in time!... oh and in 10 days we get our chickens LOL.
