no they are not broody. They sit in the nest box every morning and then get up sometimes singing their egg song and then go about their business the rest of the day. The one I believe to have internal laying had the first time a egg that broke inside her. The white and yolk of the egg would ooze out for several days, would look very uncomfortable. Then a few days later layed a mass that looked liked the egg shell and other stuff all in a mass. After that she appeared normal again. However the she only layed a yolk after that and hasn't layed an actual egg since. The other just hasn't layed anything in over 2 months though she too goes every morning to the nest box and acts like she's laying then get up and nothing is there. I don't know what is going on.
