The BF had a couple of days off over the holiday weekend and we managed to get the mini-coop finished enough to move the kids in. The coop itself is 4x4 plus the external nest boxes and the run is 4x15. I still have to add a door to close the coop from the run and a few other odds and ends, but so far the kids seem to love their new home.

The coop is attached to the back of the garage. The foundation of the garage forms the back wall of the coop and the run.

There will be landscaping eventually.

I haven't built the door to the run yet, but the run should be secure so I don't feel too rushed.

The window to the left is currently just 1/2 inch hardware cloth. It will get a removable plexiglass cover when the weather starts turning cold.

Speck and Pearl seem happy with their new home. The other three girls were camera shy.

I got the pop door added to the mini-coop this week. Now the bantams can be safely closed in their coop at night. I ran out of black paint so the pop door ended up being white.

Very nice, but I hope you don't have raccoons in your area. That chicken wire may not keep them out. I see you have hardware cloth on the coop. Can you lock them in at night? That might help predator proof them.

I should have added, the coop is in my back yard which was fenced to keep a digging dog in. It has electric wire around the base and then half way up. In addition I have four dogs who live everywhere but the back yard that bark and chase anything larger than an ant.
