This is the first time I've incubated eggs. So this whole process has been a huge learning experience.

I sat 13 eggs from my own chickens. Discarded one egg at day 8 cause it had the blood ring. Well, I candled them again tonight and...

Movement in all 12 eggs! Man, I have to sit on both hands to keep from waving at everybody!

Speckled Hen, I would love to get some of your eggs at some point in the future. Once I get a little more 'practiced' up!

The 21st day is the evening of the 13th. So I've still got quite a way to go. We shall see!

Sounds like we're on the same day, then! My due date is Nov 14, but Day 21 technically starts the night of the 13th. This is another small setting of eggs, then two are due two days later then more on the 21st then 10 on, well somewhere at the end of the month! I have it on the calendar, but I'm too tired to go look. We're hatching buddies!
